- Amazon has become the dominant distributor of almost everything except inflatable tents in the US.
- REI
- REI is a specialty outdoor store that runs as a coop (members share profits). REI has many exclusive lines and makes some of the finest equipment and gear for technical and extreme camping. Although they are not a “glamping” niche store, we buy a lot of gear from them. REI does not sell any tents that have windows or air beams. I wish they would because I feel like they are missing a huge market.
REI - Bass Pro
- Bass Pro, who just acquired Cabellas, is a big name sporting goods store with everything you need to go camping. Their stores are more like the Disneyland of sporting goods. From selling boats to clothes to camping and guns. We love Bass Pro for their stores, assortment and service, however, we don’t see in their stores or online any tents that meet our basic InTents Glamping standards. A few of our glamping tent “must haves”, includes inflatable beams, tunnel design, and clear plastic windows – not mesh windows.
Bass Pro - Walmart
- WalMart – is a huge retailer for camping goods. They have one of the largest selections of every type of camping gear imaginable. What we love about WalMart is there is one close to almost every state park. If you need supplies or forgot a piece of gear or equipment you can go pick it up in a matter of minutes. We almost always stop at a WalMart either going camping or while camping for something. However, WalMart does really offer high end, luxury, ultra high-quality glamping tents, equipment or gear. WalMart like all other retailers in the US offer no tents with windows, air beam
